Olives

Olives contain oleic acid (omega-3 essential fatty acid) which studies have shown helps regulate the balance between HDL (high-density lipo-protein, also called "good" cholesterol) and LDL ("bad" cholesterol) in the blood.

Olive oil can also be used directly on the skin as moisturiser.

Black olives are easier to digest and have a higher vitamin and antioxidant content than green olives.

Tomato, avocado and mozzarella salad with olives

Avocado are incredibly good for you. So are tomatoesolives and apple-cider vinegar.

Slice some ripe large tomatoes and avocado into bite sized pieces. Rip the Mozzarella also into bite sized pieces. Add some black olives and salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with olive oil and apple-cider vinegar.
